The puppy who never got picked
Papaya’s story begins in October of 2022. She was barely two weeks old when she was pulled from a grow site during a county raid along with her momma and five siblings. One by one, the others all found homes. Somehow, Papaya’s turn never came.
Fast-forward to 2026. Papaya has spent her entire life at Rescue Ranch. She’s grown up in our kennels and spends her days at our Sanctuary, where she enjoys playing with her yard mates and cuddling with her caregivers every chance she gets.
Papaya has never known a real home. She’s a gentle girl, shy with new people but warm and affectionate with her friends. We do everything we can to keep her healthy and happy, but it’s not the same as a family of her very own. Rescue Ranch is her whole world—but she deserves so much more.
For now, Papaya is still waiting. Until her forever family comes along, we’re here for our sweet, goofy girl.
