Your Support This May Will Help Us Complete A Much Needed Update Of Our Dog Accommodations
New Digs For The Dogs In May
There’s no doubt about it, Rescue Ranch dogs need new, updated, accommodations: Yes, after 15 years of constant use and exposure to the elements, the outdoor panels and gates attached to the south side of the Adoption Center desperately need replacement.
They’re rusted through, peeling, and need to be replaced before they become completely unusable.
Our goal is to finish what we started last year
Last year, we updated the outdoor installations on the north side of the building. Now we need to do the same on the south side, so that all Rescue Ranch dogs can soon be housed in safe, durable, updated installations for the foreseeable future.
This year, we'll also acquire additional 8 panels to separate some free-standing outdoor enclosures on the property so future occupants won’t have to share walls. This will reduce stress on the dogs and allow for more flexibility when we receive evacuees and other temporary residents unknown to us and to each other.
PROJECT COSTS
We still need $12,500 to cover the estimated $20,000 total cost for this year's "New Digs For The Dogs" project.
- We’ve already raised $7,500
- With your help, we’ll raise the remaining $12,500 this May
- The new, high-quality, galvanized steel panels are expected to last 20-30 years
OLD PANELS WON'T GO TO WASTE
As the Designated Dog Evacuation Center for Siskiyou County since 2020, Rescue Ranch has taken in hundreds of evacuated dogs during wildfire season. Old panels will be adapted and repurposed for use during emergencies to hold overflow when intake numbers are high.
Your support makes our work possible
Thanks to you, we will continue to provide rescued and displaced dogs with the safe, comfortable environment and high-quality care they deserve. We can’t thank you enough for your support.
